Couch Surfers
This week the guys at the lab were busy finishing up finals so they couldn't go out. Because of this I decided to check out my couch surfers(CS) account and see if I could meet up with a few CS and have a good time after getting off work. I eneded up meeting with a CS friend named Carla.

She was about to head to Peru the next day but was up for meeting up and hanging out before she had to leave the next day. She picked me up and we meet up with 2 other of her friends. We met up at a place called Benito Suco. We didn't stay for long because we actually were just dropping by for Carla to say good bye and meet up with another group of friends. Then we headed to another place and met with her other friends for drinks and a great conversation.

As the night went on more and more people joined us and it was really enjoyable.
Carne De Sol
LAVSI
During The friday night after playing some Starcraft at the lab with my lab mates, I met up with the LAVSI lab at a restaurant for drinks and food. After meeting new friends, sharing laughs and having a good time we decided to go to a social event and meet other Brazilian people. Below is a pic of us at the festivity. It was a really epic time and I learned many new dances and Brazilian musics.
Dinner Party
After getting back extremely late from having a blast with the LAVSI crew I went to sleep and woke up 2 hours later to prepare for the Dinner at my house. I made chicken enchiladas, rice, guacamole, chicken quesadillas and pao de quejo. There was a total of 27 guests and every group brought something as well. I must say it was the best time I had in Brazil thus far and this is because I really enjoy hosting people.
P.S. few lab mates also came over the following monday to help with left-overs.
Ceara
July 14th Glauco Gausho and I went to a soccer game. The game was great we took the subway, ate low quality food, saw a passed out guy, and got interviewed by a national radio station. We were rooting for the away team so after the game we almost got jumped by 15 people that were waiting at the subway for Ceara supporters. Luckily the police arrested them and we boarded the subway safely.
Gordeixo's
The next day we went to an all you can eat pasta place called Gordeixo's. The food was good, the company was great and overall it went well.
Lapa
To celebrate the final of the Libertadores cup, Cruzeiro vs. Estudiantes, we went to a Restaurant named Lapa. We saw a few people at another table also there for the game so we went over and asked them to join our table. The team we rooted for lost but overall it was a really fun time.
